MEI Trucking, LLC is looking for experienced CDL truck drivers to join our team to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities
Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
Inspecting vehicles for mechanical, and safety issues, and perform preventative maintenance.
Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
Document and log work, rest periods, and miles spent driving including retaining fuel and toll receipts.
Input "macros" when requested and updates for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
Report defects, accidents and violations.

Requirements
Proven work experience as a truck driver.
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software like GPS, AVL, Units, CB, ELOGS, etc. but not limited too.
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving.
No recent moving or driving violations and clean MVR.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.

Trucking school diploma a plus.
Valid truck driving license and insurability.

Health & Dental Insurance
MEI Trucking provides the option for Group Health Insurance for full time employees. MEI will pay the Group Health Plan Premium directly to the provider. MEI will apply payment at 50% of the individual employee's monthly premium.
License, Training, & Education
MEI will pay for all required pesticide applicator licenses (if applicable), DOT inspection license fees, and DOT health card at renewal. MEI may assist the employee in training and education costs associated with other job requirements.
Additional Benefits
- MEI pays .54 cents a running mile for OTR / 2000-3000 miles a week.
- Hourly wage of $21.50 (detention, pre-trip, post-trip)
- During construction season we pay construction prevailing base rates of $25.75 to $34.85. Fringe being $11.00 to $21.75 an hour. Construction non-prevailing rate is $26.00
- If the job is more than an hour away from home base, we will get you a room to stay overnight.
- MEI has a full-time maintenance team to keep trucks up to DOT inspection standards and to do maintenance and repairs in a timely fashion.

Live bottoms, grain trailers, belly dumps, hopper trailers, 53 ft. dry van trailers and beet trailers.

Haul For
Road construction, agriculture, dry goods, amongst other things.
Over the Road Truck Driver
Haul anything from rolled paper to batteries, to palletized seed, to aluminum cans and more. Drivers will leave on a Monday morning and return home Friday so they are home for the weekend.
Road Construction Truck Driver
Haul millings from the road construction project to the pit and haul hot mix to the construction project as well. We can haul gravel and plant product as well as make deliveries to pits or road construction projects.
Harvest Truck Driver
Haul corn, beans, grain, and sugar beets to the piling sites or haul lime from Southern MN Sugar Cooperative to various farms.
We have three types of haul we participate in each year. We have 53 foot van hauling. This would include hauling goods like groceries to ag seed.
Mostly Mac Trucks.
Mostly manual but we are increasing the number of automatics to our fleet each year.
Most of the work week is done Monday to Friday. Occasionally, there will be weekend work.
Hours vary based on hauling contract and the federal guidelines for hours on the road. Most drivers are on the road by 6 am on Monday and home by 6 pm on Friday.
